Review by hotel critic
As a traveling food enthusiast hailing from the state of Georgia, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Briarfields Hotel, a charming establishment tucked away in the picturesque countryside. Upon entering the beautifully informal dining room, I was immediately struck by the ambiance - cozy and inviting, yet elegant. Opting for Briarfields' Posh Afternoon Tea, served on a three-tier stand, I was treated to a delightful array of savory and sweet treats. the selection of finger sandwiches, delicate fruit scone with clotted cream and homemade jam, and mini desserts were all beautifully presented, showcasing the culinary innovation of the chefs. Paired with a pot of loose leaf tea, it was the perfect indulgence after a day of exploring the nearby RSPB reserve and beach. I was impressed by the excellent food and wine list, hand-picked by an independent wine merchant, which complemented each dish perfectly. the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience was evident, from the presentation of the dishes to the attentive service provided by the already excellent and experienced team of chefs. It truly felt like a great stepping stone into the world of gourmet cuisine. the coastal twist on Norfolk flavors, combined with the warm hospitality of the staff, made for a memorable meal. Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a delicious meal in a beautiful setting, Briarfields is a must-visit destination for food lovers in the area.
